Censure or Impeachment?
by
The Station Agent
Back from a barnstorming, twenty-four hour, top-secret, mission of mercy from God. What'd I miss?
From Raw Story:
Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI), a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, is calling on Congress to censure President Bush, Vice President Cheney, and other administration officials for "misconduct relating to the war in Iraq and for their repeated assaults on the rule of law."That's a spicy meatball. I think censure is extremely unsatisfying, but maybe it's a trial balloon for impeachment. The Democrats are so tentative with their power it makes me just... shake my fist at them! GrRRRRR!
(mo')
John Conyers, however, suggests, coyly, that perhaps the impeachment snowball may be forming... for Cheney at least. Did I just write impeachment snowball? Isn't that a Wile E. Coyote sort of approach to impeachment. Listen, Station Nation, it was indeed a harrowing mission and my blogging facilities are running low.VIDEO: Our man Feingold on Meet The Press says that censure is a tame move considering that so many people want the full impeachment monty or snowball attack, if you will (Crooks and Liars).
