In an email to me today, our heartland correspondent, Russ Weiss, asked what madness the Lunatic Fringe would have unleashed had President Obama's first foreign policy test gone the way President George W. Bush's first international test turned out.

Frankly, I think Todd Rundgren's cover of "Lunatic Fringe" beats the crap out of both the Red Riders' original and Rush Limbaugh's actual lunatic fringe. Note to EMI, it doesn't help with the judges when you can't embed the video clip. Were you bought by the AP?
