CPAC Is Counterproductive for Republicans, Fun for Maddow

Nothing really new about my take on CPAC--that conference is killing the Republicans. It's making fools out of the party's most viable presidential candidates (Romney and Pawlenty) while it elevates the candidate most marginalized from the party's establishment, money bomber Ron Paul. Sarah Palin did not speak while the hilarious Rick Santorum actually showed up primed for a presidential run. Santorum finished with only a dismal 2 percent in the annual CPAC straw poll, but he's not sweating it.
